Caroline Frost double-checked her make-up and hair in a compact mirror. She normally doesn't wear make-up, but she wears it during interviews, work parties, and weddings. Well, seven weddings, because her boyfriend Jon took her to see his seven older sisters get married.
She only wore eye-shadow, mascara, and lipstick. She hated make-up because Jon told her that make-up hid her true beauty. She closed the compact mirror and put it in her shoulder bag.
Caroline wore her beige pants and her dark pink button up shirt. She was only at Grey Enterprises Holdings Inc. because she got laid off, again. It was like she kept getting fired only to get rehired, and then fired again, only to be rehired one more time.
Caroline didn't get the call to come back to work in three days like she usually does, so she decided to go to Grey's building to at least intern or work at a desk job. She heard that the workers get good pay. She looked around, seeing blondes. Blondes everywhere. She looked at her hair. It was a light brown color with dyed light blue streaks.
This guy is biased, Caroline thought and looked at her watch. She had to pick her little brother Alex up in a couple of hours.
"Miss. Frost, Mr. Grey wants to speak to you now." A woman said and Caroline stood up.
She followed the woman to the room. She walked in, only to stumble because she stepped on the side of her foot. She didn't fall down which she was glad for. She walked over to the table and sat down. She sat up and looked at Christian. She tried not to cringe at the thought of Christian's eyes roaming her body.
She resisted the urge to pull her shirt to get it to stop sticking to her.
"So, tell me about yourself, Miss. Frost." Christian said.
"Well, I adopted my little brother when I was twenty-five. I'm twenty-six now." Caroline said. "I once helped out at my local bakery when I was a junior in high school. We baked five dozen cupcakes."
Christian nodded, taking in Caroline's body, "Interesting," he mostly said to himself. "What do you look for in a man?"
Caroline resisted the urge to walk out of the conference room. "Well, I like a tall guy. I like a guy that has brown hair and blue eyes. I like a guy that has stubble. I like a guy that has muscle and has a sense of humor. I like someone that can act crazy and yet be serious too."
Christian resisted the urge to hit the table. That description didn't match him, but that didn't mean he couldn't try to get her to go off her descriptions. There was the sound of a phone vibrating. "Sorry, I thought I turned it off." Caroline looked in her bag and found her cell phone. She looked at it. "Do you mind if I take this?"
"Go ahead." Christian said. "You can go look out the window if you want."
Caroline eyed Christian weirdly, grabbed her bag and walked to the window. She answered her call, "Sorry about that. I'm happy you called. I saw your match yesterday on TV."
Christian stared, confused. Probably her dad, mother, or a sibling.
"Yeah, that was sort of brutal. Nobody helped." Caroline said and there was a response. "I know it's fake. But still... yeah, I'll watch the Pay-Per-View. I have to go. I love you too. Bye." She hung up and turned her phone off. She walked back to the table and sat down. "Sorry about that."
"Who was that?" Christian asked.
"My boyfriend. He travels a lot because his job demands it." Caroline said. She noticed how Christian's eyes strayed below. You stare at my boobs one more time...
"What does he do?" Christian asked.
"That's not important." Caroline said.
"Yes it is." Christian said.
Caroline noticed the angry tone and stood up. "That's it." She stood up and walked away. "Fuck you. Yeah that's right. Fuck you and kiss my ass." She walked out of that room. She needed to call her old boss back and possibly beg for her job back. She didn't want to work for a pervert who's eyes stray too far down.
